This unusual anatomical study was initiated by a former sculpture student who left it as an incomplete sketch. I decided to continue and refine the work, bringing it to a high level of definition. The gesture captured is subtle yet naturalistic - despite the omitted shoulders and arms.

The process of molding and casting this sculpture presents significant challenges due to the narrow and delicate spinal cord.
