Seeker

Seeker is a piece that speaks to our yearning for connection in what may appear to be a barren landscape. This is a work that at first seems despondent and tragic, but when one comes in closer the experience is instead one of hope. Her face is not showing pain, even though it is downcast; it shows an intent gaze that is searching the earth, and when looking at the earth we see there is a crack opening up through which light is gently emanating forth. There is always hope and growth to be discovered, one just needs to see the possibility for it to exist.

First exhibited in March 2025 as part of an extraordinary evening of music and art entitled 'Landscapes Within' which was held in a church in Florence, created and directed by composer Belinda É Samari.

Seeker is also displayed in Barcelona in the fall of 2025 until January 2026, at the Museu Europeu d'Art Modern (MEAM)  as part of the Figurativas 2025 exhibition.
