Sunday is an immigrant from Africa who came to Florence in search of a new life. I met him in 2014 while he was working as a street seller. When I created this portrait of him, it marked the first time he had ever modeled, and he approached the experience with a sense of curiosity and intrigue, it was strange and usual world to him.
