The model, Margarita, posed for a total of ten weeks for this academic study of a reclining figure. Through this work, I aimed to explore the concepts of weight and gravity. To achieve this, I designed the base to resemble a floating rock, an impossibility that invites the viewer into the realm of a dream.

The artist proof of this piece was selected as a finalist in the 2018 Tom Bass prize in Sydney and is now part of a private collection in Sydney.
