Pirates of The Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales

I worked as a poly carver in the Construction Department at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast.

I was tasked with creating some large scale polystyrene Britannica figures that would be placed on one of the ship’s sterns, as well as to help recreate a sculpt featuring Neptune for the Black Pearl.

There were also some smaller poly-carves for dressing other ships including, for example a rearing horse on a coat of arms and some caryatids.

Cast in this movie is Geoffrey Rush, whom I was to later sculpt a portrait of at his home in Melbourne.
