Mermaids in Melbourne

In 2013, I was commissioned by Melbourne Sea Life Aquarium to create three large-scale mermaid sculptures.

These sculptures depicted mermaids playing and singing music. I crafted them by carving polystyrene and casting them in resin, and they were eventually submerged in the main aquarium tank. Initially, I made plasticine maquettes, which, once approved, I scaled up to twice life size.
