Portrait of an Australian Living in Italy

I had the pleasure of meeting Bianca in Florence in 2015, introduced through a mutual Australian friend. With her striking features and Italian heritage, she possessed a remarkable face that immediately inspired me to capture her likeness in a portrait. Fortunately, Bianca agreed to sit for me, and the creative process began.

During the sessions, I was captivated not only by her unique beauty but also by her compelling presence. The portrait evolved into a meaningful representation of her dual cultural identity, blending Australian spirit with Italian grace.

Interestingly, Bianca's mother, who also resides in Florence, was so taken with the final piece that she purchased the Artist Proof. This added a personal touch to the artwork, making it a cherished piece within their family.
