Solitude

Solitude can sometimes be considered in a negative light but I have always enjoyed time being alone and consider solitude a necessary experience in life to understand and accept yourself and your thoughts. Produced as a demonstration piece alongside a student, this portrait was designed to create a gentle mood of quiet and calm, and I sensed the model Teresa had found a type of solitude that she enjoyed very much during the process of modeling for us.
