Thor: Ragnarök

For ‘Thor: Ragnarök’ I was asked to build six falling Pegasus in six weeks for the Valkyrie flashback sequence.

Due to the short time frame I concentrated on sculpting two different horse bodies with interchangeable mane and tail sections while another team of sculptors made the wings (moulded and cast in a flexible urethane).

We then worked together to fix the urethane cast wings to the six fibreglass horse bodies in alternate positions to produce the final six unique Pegasus. The scenic department then painted each horse differently.

The flashback scene was replaced with a digital render in the final cut, so the six Pegasus was never used.
