A woman being interrupted, possibly threatened, whilst in a private and intimate moment formes the basis of the pose. The cause of the interruption is not seen but felt through the gaze and expression of the woman. It’s a timeless moment of impending violence, one destined to be repeated over and over.
‘Red Star’ was selected as a Finalist in Figurativas 2021 and the 16th Art Renewal Centre International Salon and was exhibited at MEAM The European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona.

Sculptures are generally cast in bronze in a limited number of editions. The maximum number of editions allowed varies between countries but is very rarely more than ten. Editions are signed by the artist and has the edition number cast in the bronze. They always come with a Certificate of Authenticity, they last for millennia and represents a good investment.
An Artist Proof (AP) is signed by the artist, but is not part of an edition and does not come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Artists are allowed three APs. Traditionally an Artist Proof is made in plaster, but in recent decades resin has taken over. Whether in plaster or resin, an Artist Proof should not be considered a financial investment as it holds little to no resale value.
