Sauvage
Studio Sketching.
This torso, made in 2020, is slightly larger than half life size, was a quick sketch done over a few days in a friends studio in Via Conti, Firenze.
The model is Shibari Performance artist Marie Sauvage. She was posing seated and bound with ropes applied by another Shibari artist. I chose to crop the sculpture´s composition to include only her torso and portrait as I felt that they expressed enough of the emotion and tension created by the unseen bindings.
Crops & fragments
Occasionally this artwork is available as a mask, crop or fragment that can be bought separately from the artwork itself. They are popular, so I recommend clicking the Get notified button to get a 1 – 2 day window before announced publicly.
