For Thor: Ragnarök I was asked to build 6 falling Pegasus (half life size) in 6 weeks for a flashback sequence. Due to the short time frame I concentrated on sculpting 2 different horse bodies with interchangable mane and tail sections while another team of sculptors made the wings (moulded and cast in a flexible urethane). We then worked together to fix the urethane cast wings to the 6 fibreglass horse bodies in alternate positions to produce the final 6 unique Pegasus. The scenic department then painted each horse differently. They didn’t make the final cut unfortunately.
