The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

In 2009 I worked at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast as a sculptor for ‘Narnia- Voyage of the Dawn Treader’ within the Construction department. I was given various set pieces to sculpt, mostly for the dressing of the story’s centrepiece- the ‘Dawn Treader’ ship, alongside a team of fellow sculptors and polystyrene carvers. The amount of incredible craftsmanship that went into the creation of the ship was breathtaking, so much so that after the filming was finished the studios decided to have the ship open for visitors of the Warner Bros Movie World theme park to be able to appreciate its unique beauty in person.
