Being

We are everything and we are nothing simultaneously – we are simply information in a field of unlimited potential.

Made over 4 days during a workshop with Polish sculptor Grzegorz Gwiazda at Mapstone Studio in Devon, UK. The pose was chosen of model Isaura during a break when she was hugging a large coat close to her body. As the coat and the model’s dark skin tone merged I suddenly saw a vision of them becoming one with a large crevasse opening up to her innermost Self.

Exhibitions

Being was included in the incredible Corpo a Corpo exhibition in Villa Bardini, Florence, 2019. Curated by Daniela Astone and Gaia Grazioli, the exhibition featured the works of 35 international representational artists and was a huge success with the high visiting numbers exceeding expectations. Finalist

‘Being’ was exhibited as a Finalist in the international Figurativas ’19 show at MEAM in Barcelona.

Reduction available

Being has been made in a reduced size bronze. It’s a limited series and expected to sell out. If any edition are still available you will find it in the Catalogue under reductions.
